Lighting Your Scene and Using Materials.
For mental ray renderer.
All I did here was to add Spot',
and point it directly at the box.
Shadows were turned off, it's
the light we want. I also turned
off the 'Omni' we were using as
well.

Not 'bouncing' much though is
it....and it's lighting the floor
and basically it just looks
horrible. Yep. So lets 'Exclude'
everything from being lit by
see what that gives us......

Under the lights parameters in
the command panel is the
'Exclude' button. Click it and a
dialog box opens. Here you
can select which objects are
illuminated and which are
'excluded'...........
Fantastic ! This is going from
bad to worse !

Well yes and no. We really
need to render the scene from
the proper angle to really
appreciate what all this
mucking about with boxes and
lights is all about.

helping is that 'bounced' light
needs to be calculated as part
of the rendering process......or
in other words we need to turn
on the ever popular.............
'Final Gather' in the render
scene dialog box........it had to
happen some time....

Lets turn that 'on' then and
render the scene from the right
camera angle............
