objects and created a simple
sphere for ease of viewing.

2. From the material editor I
selected an empty slot, and
changed the material 'type' to
Raytrace. This was then applied
to the groundplane. (Floor).

becomes obvious that the 'mr
Area Omni' light is preventing us
seeing the underside of the
object because of the shadow it
is by using 'Global Illumination'.

3. With 'GI' turned on we can now
see all of the object, much better
for all the guesswork we need to
do!

material applied as the floor, a

material, all settings at default.

It's always a good idea to name
EVERYTHING with something
easy for you to recognise. This
becomes invaluable when
tweaking later on.

Now to make it interesting..............
