Tutorial 6.

Lighting Your Scene and Using Materials.
For mental ray renderer.
Foreword:

Lighting can make or break even the best of models. Without it, well you just
won't see anything...period. Lighting can convey so many different things, how
big something is, how far away something is, is it inside or outside and even the
time of day. It also tells us about the surface properties of an object, is it hard or
soft, smooth and shiny or rough and dull......many, many things.

Materials similarly convey many things, size, shape, distance etc as well as
surface properties as above, in fact it should be fairly obvious to deduce that
Lighting and Materials work hand in hand with each other....so much so that
either one is more or less useless without the other.  As an example a simple
sphere without Light couldn't be seen, without a Material it could be a billiard
ball or the world.......so both are very important.

So that's the boring bit done, lets set a scene and get on with the good stuff........
